Can you clean upholstered furniture without taking it anywhere?
Yes. Sofas, wingback chairs, dining chairs and sectionals are cleaned in your living room. Before we touch a piece, we read the care tag and test the fabric, because a linen-blend slipcover, a velvet chair and a performance-fabric sectional don’t take the same cleaning.

How do you clean a wool or oriental rug in an established home?
Older homes in this part of town often have rugs that have been in the family a long time. We check the fiber and test the dyes first, since some dyes bleed when they get wet.
Many rugs can be cleaned on site. Others, especially silk or rugs with heavy pet contamination, do better if we pick them up, clean them and bring them back. Either way, the price is quoted after we see the rug. See area rug cleaning.
Do drapes have to come down to be cleaned?
No. We clean drapes, sheers, valances, swags and fabric shades while they hang, so you’re never left with bare windows. Most jobs take under an hour. A larger home with drapery in most rooms can take 1 to 3 hours.

Which carpet cleaning method suits a formal living room?
Rooms that don’t see much traffic usually need a lighter touch. Low-moisture VLM cleaning dries in about 30 minutes to 2 hours and is often the right fit for wool or lightly soiled carpet. Family rooms, stairs and entries that get daily use may need truck-mounted steam cleaning, which dries in about 1 to 3 hours. We check the fiber before we choose. What if a supply line leaks under the house or in the basement?
A lot of houses near Kingston Pike sit on basements or crawlspaces, and a slow leak can soak a rug pad or the back of a sofa before you see it. If you find water, shut off the supply if it’s safe, move rugs and furniture off the wet floor, and call or text us any hour.
